Hero miner asked to be godfather of child he saved

The hero miner who risked his life to save a mother and her baby from raging floodwaters near Rockhampton last week has been asked to be the child's godfather.

Mr. Pacey did not want to talk about the fact that Nathan had asked him to be godfather at Cooper's christening, and insisted he was not a hero, giving praise to others who helped pull the family from the water.
