Third-grader tests software for chip maker

A Silicon Valley chip maker is paying a Texas third-grader to test new software.

Carson Page of Georgetown, Texas, taught himself to run computer applications on his PC as a toddler, could install an operating system by the age of 4 and was programming circuits by the time he was 7, the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman said Thursday.
