Tioman Proving To Be A Biological Goldmine

Tioman Island is the home to 14 new species, including 10 types of lizards, three varieties of snakes and a frog.

Dr Grismer said that Tioman and its islands have a rich bio-diversity which was reflective of its rich evolutionary history.

"Tioman just blows them away. The diversity here is far greater than any of the other places that I have worked," - Dr Lee Grismer
